Each year the UCMAS  Dundas & Hurontario Centre conducts this Competition for its students which serves as a dress rehearsal  for the national event that UCMAS Canada Inc. (Head Office)hosts annually for  all UCMAS students. This platform gives our kids a sense of competition and prepares them well for the big event.

The UCMAS Competition – Exam:  During the competition, the UCMAS students have eight minutes to solve 100- 200 math questions, using only their Abacus or Mental math skills. The contest showcases more than prowess in Math – it’s a testament to the skills students develop in the UCMAS program such as visual memory, focus, creativity and visualization, all of which lead to greater proficiency in Math and enhanced academic achievement.

The Awards Ceremony – After the competition, an Awards Ceremony is held where close to 100 prizes  will be awarded to top students of the centre across each of the UCMAS levels.

Both events attract local and regional press coverage.
